Logitech has introduced the Logitech PowerShell Controller + Battery which provides console-style game controls and increases game-play time on your iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, or iPod touch (5th generation) running iOS 7.
Your compatible iPhone or iPod touch fits into the controller providing analog off-screen controls. The PoweShell provides a D-pad, shoulder triggers and face buttons. Logitech say the controller’s comfortable shape should assist in longer play periods.
“We designed this controller to deliver a true console-gaming experience on an iOS 7 mobile device,” said Yousef Atwan , Country Manager of Logitech South Africa.
“With gaming so pervasive on the mobile platform – our research shows that 87% of iPhone and iPod touch users play games on their device – it’s time to revolutionise the experience.”
With the PowerShell fitted, your phone’s off-screen buttons are still functional. The controller’s 1500 mAh battery also increases the battery capacity of your iPhone 5s, iPhone 5 or fifth-generation iPod touch.
The controller is compatible with the iOS 7 game controller framework.
The Logitech PowerShell is expected to arrive in South Africa in February 2014 and should retail for R 1 699.00.
