Yesterday we were treated to the first teaser trailer for Hitman Absolution, and IO Interactive promised more details ‘shortly.’ And here they are!
CVG report that Square Enix confirmed that the good folks at IO Interactive, best know for Kane and Lynch are currently developing the much awaited sequel in the Hitman series, using the Glacier 2 game engine. Our favourite assassin is said to be taking on his “most dangerous contract to date”.
“Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, Agent 47 finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth.” – Square Enix.
IO game director Tore Blystad adds: “For the first time we are taking Agent 47 on a personal journey which allows us to explore other parts of the Hitman fantasy.
“This is both a familiar and yet significantly different experience to any of the other Hitman games, something our silent assassins will relish as well as those who are new to the Hitman world.”
Square Enix says it will reveal more about Hitman Absolution during E3.
