We can’t really resist Gears of War around here. How could you not enjoy a game where a chainsaw is actually part of the gun?

After that slightly (alright, very) disappointing entry into the series called Judg(e)ment, Gears of War looks like it is back on track with the son of Marcus Fenix leading humanity against a new enemy.

Gears of War 4 is set 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3 and will feature a beta from 18 April for those that played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10. From 24 April, “all qualifying Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will be invited to join the beta” until it concludes on 1 May.

The first story trailer for Gears of War 4 is entitled ‘Tomorrow’ and features the Disturbed track ‘Sounds of Silence’, and is not a million miles away from the iconic ‘Mad World’ trailer for Gears of War 1 and recently re-imagined for the Ultimate Edition.
