Gears of War 3 | South African pre-order bonuses

Yes, South African gamers, we are receiving a pre-order bonus for pre-ordering Gears of War 3.  If you pre-order from various retailers, you can get a bonus ‘Savage’ character for the game.

While you’re looking for bonuses, ‘like‘ the Gears of War facebook page and get Griffin (voiced by Ice-T) as a bonus character too.

Press Release:

Johannesburg, South Africa – 04 August 2011 As fans of the franchise wait patiently for the global release date of 20 September, Gears of War 3 retailers are also ‘gearing up’ for the third instalment.

It’s been over eighteen months since the fall of the last city in Gears of War 2 and the war against the Locusts rages on. A new enemy has emerged, deep beneath the surface the Lambent, with survivors scattered and civilization in ruins, time is running out for Gears and humanity. Marcus, Baird, Dom and company continue their fight to save human civilisation, as they battle the Locust and face new threats from within the planet throughout the campaign mode.

The Gears of War 3 stand-alone game is now available through pre-order from various Xbox 360 retailers. A special pre-order bonus for limited South African customers is Savage Kantus Shaman. The Savage Kantus were profoundly impacted by the loss of the Hollow. They have reverted to a primal, shamanistic state, and their battled cried have taken a dark, melancholy turn. Few sounds are as terrifying to human ears.

Exclusive to BT Games only and to limited pre-order quantities, is the Savage Grenadier Elite DLC. Grenadiers are trained to be fierce enemies, and their Savage brethren are particularly brutal. The Savage Elite add cunning to the mix, making them the undisputed warlords of the Locust army.

Visit your local Xbox 360 retailer for orders and pricing. Follow South Africa’s local Xbox 360 Twitter page @Xbox360ZA and on the Facebook page Xbox 360 South Africa for more information.
