We have previously learned that Gearbox were interested in a Playstation Vita version of Borderlands 2, but were not able to develop it themselves.
The Official Nintendo Magazine now report that the studio may also be interested in Borderlands 2 making its way to Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console.
In an interview with Dealspwn, Gearbox co-founder Brian Martel acknowledged that Gearbox “really like the Wii U”
“So we’re really excited to bring Aliens: Colonial Marines to it,” says Martel.
“And we’re going to do a wait and see approach, our publisher 2K is going to see whether they’re going to go with that.”
Martel believes the Borderlands 2 inventory management would be “amazing” on the Wii U, and also explained that the artwork would look “really good” because of how the console can deal with the resolutions and textures.
“I think it’s a really good console,” claims Martel.
