Games

The Xbox 360 title update for Battlefield 4 is now out. The update increases game stability, as well as fix the so-called one-hit kill bug. [More on Battlelog]

Criterion may be working on a Battlefield spin-off according to analyst, Michael Pachter. The game is expected (as least according to his prediction) before the end of the 2015 financial year. [More on CVG]

A listing on Steam has revealed that The Walking Dead: Season Two from Telltale Games will release on 17 December. Telltale themselves have not announced a release date for the game. [More on CVG]

An Assassin’s Creed survey has asked gamers whether hey would like to see the pirate-themed edition of the series expand to a franchise, as well as whether they would like to see a new modern-day hero in the series. [More on IGN]

A Wii U update for Call of Duty Ghosts has been released. A number of fixes have been attended to, as well as adding a GamePad scoreboard panel which can also be used to mute individual players.

Hardware

European PSN maintenance is scheduled for today. The maintenance kicks off at 16:00 and runs until 00:00 GMT on Monday 9 December. [via Twitter]

More PSN passwords have been reset  by Sony following “irregular activity”. However, the resets are “not related to an attack on, nor a vulnerability in, our data servers; it is an example of an increasingly common threat of malicious online activity.” [More on Joystiq]

Images of Razer‘s iPhone controller have been leaked online.

Industry

Sony is confident that PS4 sales can “significantly exceed” the PS3’s lifetime total sales. The PS3 has sold 80 million units to retailers since it launched seven years ago. [More on CVG]

Tim Longo – the creative director of Tomb Raider – has left Crystal Dynamics to join 343 Industries where he will work on Halo 5. Former Halo creative director Josh Holmes has been promoted to executive producer. [More on CVG]

Former members of Sony Studio Liverpool have formed Firesprite, which has already collaborated with Sony Japan Studio on the PS4’s The Playroom. [More on Eurogamer]

Atari US has been given a lifeline from bankruptcy via the court approval of a three-year recovery plan. [More on CVG]

Videos

The rumoured Tomb Raider: Definitive edition has been confirmed by Square Enix. The visually updated reboot will release on the PS4 and Xbox One on 28 January 2014. The ‘Definitive Edition’ will include the game, all of the multiplayer DLC, digital versions of the Dark Horse comic, a mini artbook, and Final Hours developer videos. Pre-order editions of the $59.99 game will include special art book packaging.
