Five of Destiny‘s PvP multiplayer modes have been revealed. Skirmish, Control, Lockdown, Team, and Rumble appear to have been named in a new IGN preview video.

The Expansion Pass for Destiny has also been revealed and detailed. The pass will cost $34.99/£34.99 [Wait a second, isn’t that almost the price of a whole new game?- Undead Ed] and includes Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below and Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves, along with “a wealth of all new weapons, armor, and gear to earn.” 

The Destiny beta has been dated and will begin on 23 July at 10 am PDT on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, while the PS4 and PS3 beta will start on 17 July at 10 am PDT. The beta will remain open aside from maintenance through 27 July at 11:59 pm PDT. [More...]

The weekly specials on Xbox Live have been revealed, and along with a host of titles on sale until 14 July, a number of titles are on sale for today only, including Halo: Spartan Assault, Fable Trilogy and Assassin’s Creed IV. On Xbox One, Titanfall features as the Deal with Gold, while Xbox 360 features Skyrim, The Walkin Dead and lots more.

Sony is “putting significant investment into” Project Morpheus and are treating it as “more than an experiment”.
