Meet the nine members of your Dragon Age: Inquisition party. Only Varric returns for a jaunt as a party member, while Morrigan (*swoon*) and Leliana return as plot characters.

Call of Duty Ghosts has received a title update on consoles. The patch improves spawns and anti-cheat measures, as well as weapon balancing and introducing a number of fixes. [More…]

Forza Horizon 2 will feature a “digital personal assistant” called ANNA via the Kinect. The game will also not feature a story mode but there will be a singleplayer experience for those not keen on multiplayer. [More…]

Rockstar Games is hosting an Independence Day Event this weekend for GTA Online. Until 6 July you can get bonus GTA$ and RP, in-game discounts, a special Rockstar live-stream battle and more. Details can be found here.

PES 2015 has been detailed by Konami, and the game will feature a new shooting system, improved defending, microtransactions in Master League Online and more when it arrives for PS4 and Xbox One. Details can be found here.

Alpha test applications for Evolve are now open. Use the password ‘happyhunting’ and referral code ‘JoinTheHunt’ to get registered here. It does appear that sign ups will close today and is only open to gamers on PC.

An open beta for Transformers Universe will launch today (4 July) and will feature double XP, a 24-hour live Twitch stream and $75,000 in prizes. Sign up here.

Sony has announced a free DLC pack for DC Universe Online. The Halls of Power Part I will introduce a storyline featuring the New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis as they search for powerful ancient relics for a dark purpose, and will feature new Raids, Alerts and Operations.

Blood Bowl will be heading to Android and iOS devices. No date of release has been revealed yet.

Airtight Games have confirmed that they are shutting their doors. After ten years and titles that included Dark Void and very recently Murdered: Soul Suspect, the company had already started with staff layoffs in January. [More…]

South Africa

LazyGamer reports that the MSSA is no longer affiliated with SASCOC, meaning the (now apparently ex-) controlling body of eSports in South Africa can no longer issue colours for gaming. Whether another organisation will be awarded control is unknown but the (always) skeptical part of me thinks the government doesn’t really care much for your digital games… However, the MSSA’s Colin Webster is disputing the suspension, saying it’s a “misunderstanding”, so expect everything to remain unclear until the next general election or something.

Gfinity‘s G3 event is dated (and confirmed we assume) for 2 and 3 August. If you’re in London then, you can grab spectator passes for the 8,000 person Olympic venue The Copper Box for £22 per day. Prizes totaling $160,000 will be shared between StarCraft II, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA 14 and Call of Duty: Ghosts Tournaments.

August Rosenmeier from Denmark is the 2014 FIFA Interactive World Cup champion. He beat England’s David Bytheway 3-1 in the final played in Braziland scored $20,000 for his efforts. [More…]

The season finale of The Wolf Among Us will be available from 8 July for PC, Mac, and US PS3. On 9 July it will be available for European PS3 and Xbox 360 worldwide, while iOS devices will get the episode on 10 July.
