Sticking with the retailer, a recent survey has shown that the PS4 is more desirable than pretty much everything. 34% surveyed said they were interested in buying the PS4, with 23% going with smartphones and 22% plumping for tablets. [via CVG]
David Cage is pretty stoked with the PS4 we reckon. In an interview with CVG he said that what Quantic Dream is doing with the PS4 is “another world” and that “you would be amazed”. Wanna just show us then?
id Software has restarted the development of Doom 4. And stopped work on Rage 2. That’s at least according to a report on Kotaku. The rebooted development has been confirmed by publisher Bethesda, but other than that they’re keeping mum on everything else.
Eidos Montreal has said that they decided to ditch Stephen Russell (the voice of Garrett in previous Thief games) for Thief 4 because he couldn’t perform his own stunts… “Garrett’s a really athletic guy. We could have pasted Stephen’s voice on top of the actions and stunts of someone else, but this wouldn’t appear natural. It really wouldn’t make any sense to capture the full performance for our other characters, but not for our star… we ultimately realised that holding onto Steven as the voice of Garrett just for the sake of our nostalgia would be like wanting to cast Sean Connery again in the new 007 movies…” [via Eurogamer]
Sega has taken to adding disclaimers to all footage of Aliens: Colonial Marines following complaints that the trailers “did not accurately reflect the final content of the game”. Still doesn’t excuse a poorly finished game which had so much promise. [via CVG]

Nine Personalization Packs, each including a weapon camo, three sight reticles, and a Calling Card are now available on Xbox 360, with the packs arriving on PS3 and PC on 12 April.
