The 35 perks, and the new perk system for Call of Duty Ghosts has been revealed. Each perk is assigned a point value of between 1-5 and players have a total of 8-12 points to spend on perks depending on their loadout. Perks can be unlocked either by playing the game until they reach the required unlock level, or by gaining early access to perks by spending squad points. Full details on the Call of Duty site.

Infinity Ward has now confirmed that Call of Duty Ghosts will only run at 720p on Xbox One and a full 1080p on the PS4. Both run at 60fps and “the game looks great on both.” [More on CVG]

Certain portions of Assassin’s Creed IV gameplay can only be accessed with a unique Uplay code included with new copies of the game. [More on GameInformer]

Sony has revealed pretty much everything you need to know about their new console in ‘The Ultimate FAQ’. Some features have been confirmed as arriving post launch (friend assist, play suspend and external recording options), some will never be supported (CDs, MP3s and PC media streaming), while some might be coming post launch (4K movie support). On the plus side, the console runs quieter and is “up to 10 times faster than PS3”. All the information can be found here.

PlanetSide 2 will be available for PS4 in “early 2014”.

A game based on the FIFA 2014 World Cup is underway, and it shouldn’t surprise you to find out that EA is working on it. It is however unclear whether the game is a standalone or FIFA 14 expansion.

EA says that development of Titanfall is “ahead of schedule” and that they are not rushing the game to market. They are very confident that the game will be “very highly rated” on release. [More on CVG]

EA is expecting the PS4 and Xbox One to ship a total of ten million units by April 2014. [More on CVG]

Borderlands 2 has sold over 7.5 million copies, and to celebrate (at least we assume so), Gearbox has announced new DLC for the game. The second in the Headhunter DLC series, Wattle Gobbler, is due for release in November 2013 according to 2K Games’ financial report.

Telltale Games is working on a “dream IP” and “can’t wait to announce”. It might be Star Wars related. Might be. [More on VideoGamer]

The PS4 beta for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will start on 22 February 2014. Square Enix has also revealed that since its launch two months ago on PC and PS3, the beta has had 1.5 million registrations. [More on Eurogamer]

Techland’s Hellraid has been delayed until next year to allow the developer to add new campaign and co-op features, and to redesign parts of the game including its magic system.

F1 Race Stars Powered Up Edition has been announced for the Wii U, and is expected in December.

There will be no DRM in The Witcher 3 on PC. Thank you CD Projekt Red.

The Dead Rising 3 Season Pass has been detailed. For $29.99 you will get four content drops, which will cost $9.99 on their own. The first DLC – ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ – will be available “late December”.
