Games

Sledgehammer Games’ Glen Schofield is disappointment in the pre-release Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare information leak that’s hit the internet. Some of the details revealed include a ‘hidden’ killstreak, and if you’re interested in the spoiler, head here.

Activision has kicked off double XP for Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 which will run until Halloween – or 10am PST (5pm UK / 7pm SA) on 31 October.

Bungie is planning a number of changes to the Iron Banner mode when it returns to Destiny later this year. Details of the plans can be found here.

Slender: The Arrival has been rated by PEGI for release on the PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One.

Day For Night Games (which features ex-BioShock developers) will release a PS4 version of their game The Black Glove should the project successfully meet its $550,000 Kickstarter funding target. The project has only eleven days left to meet its target.

Industry analysts at Cowen and Company have claimed that pre-orders for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are significantly down from CoD: Ghosts, and that the series “has peaked”. [More…]

It doesn’t seem like Microsoft’s Phil Spencer is considering a sequel to Minecraft. At least, he said that he doesn’t “know if Minecraft 2… if that’s the thing that makes the most sense.” [More…]

Twitch now requires that you “dress appropriately” when using the streaming service. Its updated terms of use states that users should not be seen on stream full or partially nude, or wearing “sexually suggestive” clothing. [More…]

Microsoft has announced a $50 price cut for the Xbox One in the US. The price cut will run from 2 November 2014 to 3 January 2015 at various retailers for three bundles – Advanced Warfare, Sunset Overdrive and Assassin’s Creed.
