A brand new Halo: The Master Chief Collection patch has been released. The 523 MB “content update addresses a number of matchmaking issues, fixes various bugs related to UI and the party system, and also improves overall stability.” The patch notes are available here.

Ubisoft has pulled the plug on the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity. The decision to do this appears to stem from the fact that the game shipped with major issues. The publisher has decided to offer season pass holders a choice of a free game (choice of either The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends or Just Dance 2015) as well as the Dead Kings DLC expansion for Unity for free. The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will get update eight on 1 December. The update will add co-op mode Frontier Defense, ranked play and more.

Minecraft has received a Star Wars Skin Pack priced at £1.99/$2.99, but it’s exclusively available for Xbox versions.

Bohemia Interactive has detailed its future plans for DayZ. The title will go into open beta in Q4 2015, with the full release scheduled for 2016. The price of the game will increase over time too – the beta will cost €34.99/$43.99, while the full game will be priced €39.99/49.99. A console prototype is expected in Q3 2015. [More…]

he December Games with Gold have been announced. On Xbox One, Worms Battleground is free for the month. For Gold subscribers on Xbox 360, you can get The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief until 16 December, at which point SSX becomes available until the end of the month. Details here.

The Steam ‘Exploration Sale’ featuring Watch Dogs, The Evil Within and over 1000 other discounted games has kicked off and will run until 2 December.

EA has launched a Black Friday sale on Origin, with games and DLC packs – including Titanfall, Battlefield 4, FIFA 15, The Sims 4 and more – discounted by up to 75 per cent off. Head here and spoil yourself (or someone else).
