Konami has announced that the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be reduced from £39.99 to £29.99. [More on Eurogamer]
Early buyers of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will get an exclusive DLC voucher for The Phantom Pain, which will bolster their Mother Base with additional resources and staff. Konami revealed a second-screen feature for Ground Zeroes. The iDROID app is available for free on iOS, Android, and Smart Glass devices and will let users search maps, call air support, and play cassette tapes found around the environment. [More on CVG]

Bethesda has promised to give “huge, ongoing triple-A support” for their upcoming subscription based MMO The Elder Scrolls Online. Bethesda’s Pete Hines admits he is “anxious” about the subscription model, but is hopeful the game will represent good value for money. [More on CVG]
A large-scale beta for The Elder Scrolls Online has been announced by Bethesda. The beta will start at 5pm GMT this Friday, 28 February, and run until 4.59am GMT on Monday 3 March. Access appears to be via the multitude of international gaming sites issuing keys to their readers.
The ‘Whistleblower’ expansion for Outlast will arrive on PC and PS4 in April. “You play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world – including Miles – at the beginning of Outlast.” [More on AllGamesBeta]

The iOS and Android game Deus Ex: The Fall is coming to PC. Square Enix confirmed a release date of 25 March after images related to the game were spotted on Steam. The PS4 has sold 320,000 units in Japan in two days according to Famitsu. This is almost four times more than the PS3 sold on its weekend launch.
Sony Santa Monica has been hit with layoffs. SCEA confirmed with IGN that they “have completed a reduction in workforce at Santa Monica Studio,” which is “a result of a cycle of resource re-alignment against priority growth areas within SCE WWS.” One of the studio’s projects has reportedly also been cancelled.
