The DualShock 4 controller has dropped pressure sensitive face buttons for digital buttons. The pressure sensitive analogue buttons were found on the DualShock 3 and allowed game designers to assign multiple functions to a button depending on the pressure applied by the player. The Xbox One will support eight people in Party Chat “at launch”. Whether that means the size will be increased post launch was not confirmed. [More on Game Informer]

The next-gen versions of NBA 2K14 will run at 1080p and 60fps according to Visual Concepts executive vice president Jeff Thomas. He also confirmed that this would be the case for both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game. [More on IGN]

Ken Block has been signed as an adviser for Need for Speed by EA. An Xbox 360 title update for PES 2014 has restored full online functionality. The full 11v11 mode is currently only in beta and will be released in the coming weeks, as will a new data pack.

EA has plans for “tactical programmes” with Sony and have said that they are “not tilting Microsoft’s way”. Labels boss Frank Gibeau said so in an interview with Edge.

Capcom is looking for a game designer for either their Osaka or Tokyo studio to work on a new fighting game, and it’s probably a next-gen title if the tweets by Yoshinori Ono are anything to go by.

Pain – the 2007 physics-based title – will be relaunching on the PS3 as a free-to-play game. The release date is still to be confirmed. [More on CVG]

The PC specs for Call of Duty Ghosts have been revealed. The game will require 6GB of RAM and at least 40GB of storage space on your HDD. You will also require a 64-bit Windows operating system. We’re pretty sure that if you can’t match those requirements, your graphics card and processor are not up to the minimum specs either. The full required minimum PC specs can be seen here.

The original Wii has been discontinued in Europe, with the Wii Mini now being the Wii of choice available. Other than the Wii U of course. [More on MCV]

Rayman: Fiesta Run has been dated for release on Android and iOS devices. The title will be available from 7 October for the price of £1.99.
