The first image from the 2014 entry into Call of Duty by Sledgehammer has been unveiled at GDC 2014 and revealed by IGN. The image suggests the game may be set in the present or near future, but that’s us just pretending to be history buffs.

You can grab NBA 2K14 at discounted prices on the Xbox Game Store until 28 April. The game is 17% cheaper on Xbox One, while it’s 50% less on Xbox 360. Need for Speed Rivals is also 50% cheaper on Xbox 360. [More on Major Nelson]

Telltale’s The Walking Dead has been listed for release in mid-June on PS4. GameStop is listing a ‘Game of the Year’ edition for release in North America on 17 June at a price of $29.99.

Tales of Xillia 2 will be available in the US from 19 August and in Europe from 22 August. [More on CVG]

The first Borderlands and a number of Civilization titles will be “temporarily” offline  as a result of the GameSpy closure, 2K Games has confirmed. You can view the list of affected titles here.

BlizzCon has been dated for 7 and 8 November and will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California. Tickets will ve available to purchase from 7 May via Eventbrite.

Trials Frontier for iOS has been downloaded six million times in its first week of release. Ubisoft is promising a “robust post-launch content plan” in “order to keep players engaged”. [More on CVG]


Dragon Age Inquisition has been dated for release. The game will arrive on 7 October. Have a trailer to celebrate.

The ‘Cold Cold Heart’ DLC for Batman Arkham Origins is now available for PS3 in the US and Xbox 360 worldwide. EU PS3 players can grab the game later today. The DLC is 1.87GB in size on the Xbox 360 and will cost you £7.99 /$9.99 standalone.

Crytek’s free-to-play shooter Warface is now available for Xbox 360.

SoulCalibur: Lost Swords is available in the US for PS3 gamers, and should be available today in Europe for the PS3. The game is free-to-play.

Ace Combat Infinity will launch on 20 May for PS3 in Japan. The US gets the game on 27 May, with the EU release date to be announced still.
