Killzone Shadow Fall has gone gold, ensuring the PS4 exclusive shooter will launch alongside Sony’s new console. Guerrilla Games’ Steven Ter Heide has said via the PlayStation Blog that the game “should last well over ten hours for most gamers”.

The first deposit of $250,000 should appear in your GTA Online account by the end of the week. Don’t spend it all at once now.

New Titanfall details are expected to be announced today according to the game’s Twitter account. Don’t you hate being teased?

Many Call of Duty players are not core gamers and are “more in the casual game space, but they play a lot,” according to Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin. To keep that existing audience, it is difficult to “change too many of the core rules”. [More on OXM]

The trademark spotted yesterday for Aliens: Isolation may well be for a new game in the Aliens franchise. According to a Kotaku source the game will star the daughter of space officer Ellen Ripley and will be on both current- and next-gen consoles next year. [More on Kotaku]

The launch version of Fable Legends is essentially “Season One” in a series of the game which will be grown via episodic DLC which will bring new stories and quests to the game. [More on IGN]

The pre-order incentives for the UK for South Park: Stick of Truth have been revealed. Whether any of them will be available locally is not yet confirmed. Details here.

A new game update for DC Universe Online is inbound. The update (number 31) prepares the game for its PS4 launch with “a sweeping, game-wide graphical upgrade”, and “a massive design effort to polish and remaster the core leveling game”.

A special edition of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance has been announced for Japan. The edition appears to be exclusive to the PS3 and to Japan only at the moment, and is due on 5 December. The game, along with all the DLC, will cost just 2,480 yen (£16 / $25). [More on Siliconera]

Nintendo Japan has officially stopped production of the Wii – their fifth console which went on to sell over 100 million units worldwide. [More on CVG]

Need for Speed Rivals will not be released on the Wii U and Vita due to poor sales of Need for Speed Most Wanted on those consoles. Ghost Games has rather set their resources to focus on next-gen versions of the game. [More on The Sixth Axis]

This past weekend saw the MLG Invitational play out in Florida. In Black Ops 2, Complexity grabbed first place and $10,000 with OpTic Gaming taking second and $5,000. Dota 2 (and $10,000) was won by Team Dignitas, with Typical Mistakes taking second place and $5,000. The MLG Pro Circuit continues with the MLG Championship in Columbus, Ohio, from 22 -24 November and features a stacked international Dota 2 tournament and the first ever Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament including 108 teams.
