A PS4 system update – version 1.51 – is expected soon. The update will improve system software stability and make small UI refinements “such as clearly indicating when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time”. [More on PlayStation Blog]

Voice navigation controls on the Xbox One are region-locked. In other words, buying a console not part of the five supported voice countries – US UK, Canada, France and Germany – is pointless if you don’t speak English, French or German. [More on CVG]

The YouTube app for the Xbox One has been confirmed as available on day one.

The Xbox One‘s automated data management process will offload game files (save data and settings) to the cloud whenever it’s available, making them available to the user on any Xbox One they sign into. Cloud features are available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers only. [More on Game Informer]

The Xbox One SmartGlass app is now available for all devices – Windows Phone 8, Windows 8, iOS and Android.


If you’re keen to see all the patch notes detailing the changes to the PC version of Call of Duty Ghosts, head here. Some hotfixes have been released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, while the full PS3 and Xbox 360 title update is expected “soon”. A PS4 update has also been released.

Call of Duty Ghosts Clan Wars will start on Monday. The ‘metagame’ is all about capturing nodes on a Virtual map (viewable in the Call of Duty app) in multiplayer via the various online modes associated with each node. Games are against other clans, which are paired based on a matchmaking system that takes into account the skill and size of your Clan. [More on One of Swords]

It seems that EA hasn’t quite decided yet which platforms a sequel to Titanfall will appear on. Speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said: “We’ll find I’m sure that there will be future Titanfalls at some point that may be on multiple product platforms. [I] don’t know, that’s up to the teams that are going through that now, but at the end of the day, we’re excited about this Titanfall and we think it will be a big title and it will be great for Xbox One.” [via CVG]

One in every three PS4 games sold is an EA title – according to EA themselves. Or at least Mr. Jorgensen at the UBS Conference. [More on Eurogamer]

It doesn’t seem that Battlefield will turn into an annualised series, as it could “destroy the franchise”, according to Mr. Jorgensen speaking at the USB Conference. [More on Eurogamer]

EA is not planning any Star Wars titles to tie-in with the upcoming movies. However, the ten year licensing deal will lead to titles in “many different genres across multiple platforms” which may be “aligned [release date] with timing around the movies, but it won’t necessarily be aligned with the movie.” [More on CVG]

There’s a chance of a gameplay reveal of the Xbox One exclusive, Quantum Break, at the Spike VGX Awards in December. This was just one of the items Phil Spencer discussed with Polygon for what Microsoft has planned post launch of their new console.

The Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition spotted on Amazon Italy for PS4 (and Xbox One) is likely to be detailed at the Spike VGX Awards. That’s at least what Square Enix have hinted via IGN.

Square Enix has trademarked Lara Croft: Reflections in Europe. It’s listed as computer game software, but also as DVD, books and plenty more. So it could be anything. [via AllGamesBeta]

An upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV DLC will allow you to play as Blackbeard. The – as yet unannounced DLC – Blackbeard’s Wrath will include at least three new character classes for the game’s online mode – The Jaguar, The Orchid and Blackbeard himself. [via PS3 Trophies]

New Borderlands 2 DLC is coming next week. The Thanksgiving-themed ‘The Horrible Hunger of the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler’ DLC is due on 26 November and will be available for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at a price of £2.39/€2.99. [More on IGN]

An RPG sale has kicked off on PSN Europe, and features – you guessed it – RPG games at discounted rates. Demon’s Souls, Elder Scrolls DLC, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and more feature. Full details here.

A closed beta – restricted to 3,000 players – of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will begin at the end of the year. The beta will be for press and users who get selected after applying.

A ‘One-Year Anniversary Bundle‘ for free-to-play Planetside 2 has been released by SOE. The bundle costs $39.99, or 3999 SC (Station Cash) in in-game currency, and comes with a six month 50 per cent XP Boost, perks, weapons, headshot vehicle & armour decals, and a one-year anniversary-exclusive armour, weapon and vehicle camo.
