Today is the day. Microsoft either offers something phenomenal with their next-gen console or we get disappointed. Which will it be? You can check it all unfold at 7pm in South Africa via Xbox Live or Xbox.com.
Well, it appears that Forza will be part of Microsoft’s announcement – if not today, sometime in the future. The firm has trademarked Forzavista which is described as “a feature of interactive video game software which allows players to obtain statistical information of internal and external features of a vehicle and to virtually navigate and operate those vehicles.” [via Siliconera]
Rumours are that IllumiRoom will be shown off today as well. Paul Thurrott (well known Xbox Blogger) also says that Microsoft are planning to scrap subsidised version of the new Xbox. Previously, it was suggested that the new Xbox will launch at two price points; $500 flat, or $300 with a two year contract for Xbox Live Gold with a monthly payment of $10. [via CVG]
FIFA 14 has been confirmed for the next Xbox by EA. You will be able to see the reveal at today’s Xbox Reveal.
But that’s not the only EA game that will be revealed. A new UFC game will also be unveiled today. They’re not saying whether it will be a separate announcement or part of the Xbox Reveal, but in light of the above, our money is on Microsoft’s event.

Meanwhile Sony is not about to let Microsoft go about their business today uncontested – they’ve released a trailer teasing a PS4 hardware reveal at its E3 press conference next month.

The “coming soon to Xbox Live Marketplace” line-up isn’t that exciting to be fair, but the latest Call of Juarez game is only 1200MS Points which is a bit of a bargain for a game that looks a million times better than Call of Juarez: The Cartel. The DLC details for Resident Evil: Revelations has been revealed. Three content drops will arrive in June. Starting 4 June, the ‘Resistance Set’ and ‘Enhancement Set’ weapon upgrade packs will come with six custom parts each at a price of $1.99/160MSP/€1.99 each. On 11 June two new characters for Raid mode will be available – Rachael Ooze and Lady Hunk – for $2.99/240MSP/€2.99 each. On 18 June the pre-order DLC weapons will be available to all players for $0.99/80MSP/€0.99, and offers upgrades for Jill Valentine, Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat.
