Strider 2 is heading to the PS3 and PS Vita via the US PS Store next week. The game will be available from 7 October as a PSOne Classic title, and the digital re-release of Strider 2 will come with a port of the arcade version of the original Strider.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is now available as the free Games with Gold title for Xbox 360 and weighs in at 4.88 GB. On 16 October it will be replaced by Darksiders 2.

There’s a sale on the EU PS Store with ‘Games Under £8’. The PS3 and PS Vita sale runs until 15 October and features something for everyone.

The North American PlayStation Network is offering gamers $15 credit for every $100 they spend before 28 October. Codes for the credit will be sent by 7 November via email or system notification, and they must be redeemed by 5 December. [More…]

South Africa

South Africa (under the auspices of the MSSA) will take on Finland this weekend in official Test Matches for Dota 2 and Starcraft II. The Dota 2 Test Match will be on Saturday 4 October 2014 from 14H00, while the StarCraft II men’s match will begin at 14H00, with the ‘female’ match starting at 15H00. While the press release makes no mention of livestreaming of the matches, we’re pretty sure you will be able to spectate online.

Better late than never – the Instant Game Collection for October has been revealed. As usual their are six titles across the three platforms, but there is the DriveClub bonus for the PS4 this month. The other two titles for the PS4 are Dust: An Elysian Tail and Spelunky. On PS3, the titles are Batman: Arkham Asylum and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara.
