Breakfast Wrap 02And we’re back after a long weekend break.  We hope you missed us, ‘cos we missed you.  We have decided to rename this news wrap feature slightly so as not to confuse people into thinking we’re turning into CNN or Sky News.  Gaming News Wrap.  Says it all right?

The PS4 reveal has has a positive effect on the games industry according to analyst Michael Pachter.  Apparently, investor confidence in the games industry has risen and he expects a “similar impact from Microsoft’s announcement of its next-generation console prior to [E3].” [via GamesIndustry]

It has been confirmed that David Hayter will not be reprising his role as Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5.  According to Hideo Kojima he has been replaced as part of the series’ reinvention. [via CVG]

Apparently many of you are “happy” with Ubisoft annualising their Assassin’s Creed franchise.  I’m not. [via Eurogamer]

A console port of DayZ is “almost certain” according to the game’s creator, if the standalone PC version of DayZ turns out to be a success. [via The Escapist]

YouTube has announced a new live-streaming API which will allow developers to send YouTube a video feed from their games.  YouTube will then handle the transcoding process and broadcast it live – similar to the tech seen in Black Ops 2. [via  The Verge]

Epic’s Mark Rein has said that there will be no Unreal Engine 4 support for Wii U, PS3 or Xbox 360. [via CVG]

That rumoured, but always unconfirmed Far Cry 3 spin-off called Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has been confirmed by this teaser trailer.  What’s it about exactly?  Still no idea.

Forza Horizon‘s ‘April Top Gear Car Pack’ will be available from today,2 April.  Sadly, there is not Top Gear track included.  Just a white Transit Van.  The pack will set you back 400MS Points without a Season Pass.
