We’ll give you the big breaking news first – which we will detail a little later this morning. Sony has officially revealed its VR headset, which is currently operating under the name of ‘Project Morpheus’.

Games

A few Rockstar Games titles are discounted this week on the Xbox Games Store. Bully, LA Noire, Midnight Club LA, Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3 are all 75% less than they were last week. [More on Major Nelson]

Respawn Entertainment has started a ban wave, and have started to issue bans to cheaters in Titanfall. [via Twitter]

The Dragon’s Teeth’ DLC for Battlefield 4 will introduce a two-handed ballistic shield to the game. [More on Polygon]

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood will be out on Xbox 360 on 9 April and for PC on 15 April at a price of $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99.

25 indie games have been announced for the Xbox One as part of the ID@Xbox program. Contrast and Guacamelee are joined by a host of other titles. The full list can be found here.

Concept art for an unannounced Epic Games title have hit the internet. The character revealed looks a little like the character from their Samaritan demo from 2011.

CD Projekt has announced a mobile game that will be out later this year. Speculation is that it will be an extension of an existing brand… so maybe The Witcher? [More on Eurogamer]

Hardware

The April Xbox One update has been detailed. The update will introduce new game save features and friend notifications, plus improved Kinect functionality, game DVR features and more. [More on Xbox Wire]

A report suggests that Amazon‘s game console may be a dongle and will stream PC games at 30fps.

Industry

Oculus VR has distanced itself from the newly announced Immersive Tech Association (or ITA) which features EA, Epson, castAR creators Technical Illusion, and “countless more.” According to Oculus VR, they were “part of the original alliance (Stereoscopic 3D Gaming Association) but we were never a part of the new alliance.”

Microsoft is exploring Virtual Reality devices according to a report on Wall Street Journal. At the same time, rumours persist that Sony will unveil their VR headset at GDC this week.

Lead designer of inFamous: Second Son, Jaime Griesemer, has left Sucker Punch. But he’s not “talking about it yet”. [More on CVG]
