Two of the upcoming ‘IMC Rising’ DLC maps have been detailed for TitanfallBackwater is a hidden bootlegging colony high in the mountains “defined by its elevation changes”. Zone 18 is an old IMC base in the Dakota system and “is a fast-paced map that can be overwhelming for pilots who decide to venture onto the rooftops.”

There were a number of Destiny ‘Events’ this past weekend, but if you missed them, have no fear, there are still some coming over the remaining weeks in September, as well as October. Details can be found here.

Ace Combat Infinity has been downloaded 1.5 million times. To celebrate the free-to-play game’s milestone, Bandai Namco is giving out “3 Stocked Fuels to all its Pilots!” You can redeem the gift by opening the in-game Notifications.

A demo for Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 3DS will release on 19 September, with “Select” Club Nintendo Platinum members receiving access early.

Consoles & Hardware

Microsoft has revealed a number of holiday bundles for the Xbox 360 that will be available “next week at retailers around the world”. We’ll need to check whether the 500GB Xbox 360 with Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts will be available in South Africa for $249.  The second bundle also starts at $249 and features a 4GB console with Kinect and Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Forza Horizon. Details of the new-gen versions of GTA V have been leaked follow a recent GameStop conference in the US. The details and impressions can be found here. Rockstar have however officially dated the new-gen and PC versions of the game for release. The game will release on the PS4 and Xbox One on 18 November 2014 with the PC version to follow 27 January 2015. Expect additions and improvements including: “New weapons, vehicles and activities, additional wildlife, denser traffic, new foliage system and enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more.”
