Good morning. You should be grateful you made it to the end of another week. We had to stand firm against the plans to start the zombie apocalypse this past week. You can thank us in your own time.
Happy PS4 day if you reside in the US. Tough shit to everyone else. We will detail the information from Sony’s “PS4 All Access Live” event on Spike TV a little later in the day.
Hardware
Before launch of the PS4, there have been reports of “broken”, “unbalanced” and other console issues. The broken issue is with a few HDMI outputs on retail consoles, while the console appears to have a slightly convex plastic undercarriage which means it is slightly wobbly. Both may be limited to a small percentage of the mass produced items. Or it may be the tip of the iceberg. We don’t really care either way, as we can’t afford the damn thing, so we’ll sulk in the corner anyway. [More on IGN] Sony is however saying the issues are being investigated and “are isolated incidents”.
The day one update for the PS4 (version 1.50) adds support for USB headsets – something that was only expected post launch.
