There is maintenance on the PlayStation Network today.  The downtime will run from 2pm (BST) until 5am on Tuesday 16 April.

Warner Bros. has registered three Mad Max game domains.  Oh.  Hell.  Yeah.

Evolution Studios (MotorStorm and the upcoming PS4 racing game Drive Club), says they (along with Killzone developer Guerrilla Games) were instrumental in the designing and development of the DualShock 4 controller.  You can read more about their involvement on Edge.

Cliff Bleszinski reckons an “always online future is coming fast”… and stuck up for Adam Orth in his latest blog post.  Go away now and make a new game rather than irritate around 95% of society with comments they don’t agree with.

Car stuff.  Well, virtual car stuff.
Rumour has it that Criterion may well be working on a reboot of Need for Speed: Underground.  A logo sent to EGM seems to all but confirm this.  At least, you would think so.  Criterion Games’ creative director Alex Ward has seemingly debunked the rumour on Twitter.
Forza Horizon is getting a free download pack coming on Tuesday 16 April.  The ‘1000 Club Expansion Pack’ will add over 1000 new challenges and 10 new Xbox Achievements totaling 250 Gamerscore points, and will also bring two news cars (Ford F100 1956 and the RUF CTR2 1995).  Check out the video below or the screenshots on All Games Beta.

The Achievements for the zombie killing holiday simulator called Dead island Riptide has been revealed.  Kill this, kill that – you would think we zombies were a threat or something.

More Achievement unveiling.  This time BioShock Infinite is adding some bonus Achievements which have appeared on the Steam listings for the game for future ‘DLC’. [via VG247]

And yet more Achievements for your perusal.  The Fuse Achievement list has been revealed, and there are 40 Achievements to aim for.

If you missed it there’s a hefty Black Ops 2 title update for Xbox 360 and PS3.  The patch addresses plenty of fixes, as well as prepares for the second DLC.  Meanwhile the personalisation packs have arrived on PC and PS3.  Give your gun a garish colour theme and be seen a mile away.

A new trailer for third-person survival shooter State of Decay has been released.  The game is expected on Xbox LIVE in June.

The launch trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us has been, erm, launched.

Eurogamer reports that Alone in the Dark and Test Drive Unlimited studio Eden Games have shut.  The company apparently went in to liquidation in January.

Finally, it seems that 2K’s XCOM shooter may be cancelled, as the game’s official website and trailers have quietly gone offline.  The official response from the publisher via Polygon is they have “no comment about the sites being down today.”
