UK retailer Asda is taking pre-orders for the PS4 and expects the console to arrive in the UK in 2013 still.  You can secure your pre-order for a £20 deposit.

CVG has a great feature on Microsoft’s Next Xbox: Your essential speculation handbook.  Read it, because as they say “a vacuum of facts will always be filled by speculation and Microsoft’s next Xbox is a marvellous example of this.”

Speaking of speculation and the next Xbox… A Verge source has said that Microsoft’s software launch line-up will include Kinect project Ryse a zombie game, a “family-friendly” title and a new Forza game.  These four titles are only a selection of the planned launch titles, with third-party support “strong in the first-person-shooter genre.”

Capcom have announced that the Season Pass which will be available for Resident Evil Revelations will include four add-ons, with content to launch “shortly after the game’s release”. [via CVG]

Dark Souls 2 will stay true to the series’ themes, such as “the sense of satisfaction of overcoming difficulties.”  Or read, breaking 12 controllers to get past a specific stage. [via IGN]  A new trailer has been released.  We’d say enjoy, but 12 controllers later we find that an odd thing to say.

Ubisoft has officially announced an HD Flashback remake coming to XBLA and PSN.  The original game was released way back in 1992 and Ubisoft say “it’s not a reboot. It’s Flashback re-imagined.”

How about a new Dishonored ‘The Knife of Dunwall’ DLC gameplay trailer?  Well, tough luck if you said no…

Treyarch has released a new Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC trailer, which focuses on the new ‘Mob of the Dead’ Zombies mode.

A new Injustice: Gods Among Us trailer sees Ares battle it out against Killer Frost.  NetherRealm has also confirmed that the Batman Beyond outfit will be an unlockable costume in the game.

A new Disney Infinity trailer which shows off how players will be able to get creative has been released.

The Office of Fair Trading in the UK is investigating the lawfulness of free-to-play games, and will take “enforcement action” if the games are “misleading, commercially aggressive or otherwise unfair”.  Read more here.

According to IDC (International Data Corporation), global PC shipments have suffered its steepest quarterly decline since the research firm started tracking the market in 1994.  According to an analyst the Windows 8 launch “appears to have slowed the market”. [via CVG]

EA has announced a round of redundancies at their Montreal-based mobile studio as they set their focus on next-gen and mobile development.  You can read more about it on Gamasutra.

District 9 director Neill Blomkamp, is still keen on Halo film, but only if he has control of the project… which is unlikely.  However, his new film Elysium looks fabulous so we’ll enjoy that for now shall we? [via IGN]
