News Wrap 08Good morning. It was good to see the first day of E3 really focus on games right? Looks like we have plenty to look forward to in the next year and a bit. If you missed it all (or any of it), here’s the handy wraps for each of the day one press conferences, which included GTA V coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, new footage from Destiny, The Division, Rainbow Six (now subtitled ‘Siege’) and lots, lots more.


Destiny on the Xbox One will hit 1080p at 30fps following the removal of the resources allocated to the Kinect. [via Twitter]

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls will be getting exclusive content on PlayStation. The content brings two PlayStation classics into the world of Diablo – The Last of Us Nephalem Rift and Shadow of the Colossus Transmog Set will be available when the game releases on 19 August. [More…]

The PlayStation Blog has a few details about upcoming PS4 exclusive Bloodborne. While the game is a spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, combat is expected to be a little quicker.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be coming to the Xbox One, but only after the release on PlayStation. The game is out in the US for PlayStation on 22 Iuly and in Europe on 23 July. [More…]

Final Fantasy Type-0 will be remastered and released on the PS4 and Xbox One. Square Enix has also confirmed that Final Fantasy Agito for iOS and Android will release in the west.

Devil’s Third is now a Wii U exclusive because Nintendo “really understood [Tomonobu Itagaki’s] vision”. So he felt he “really had to work with them”. [More…]

The PS4/Vita bundle is coming but it is “being held up by trying to get the bundle packaged in a way where drop tests work properly.” The bundle should be out this year still. [More…]

As mentioned in our Sony round-up, PS Now is heading into an open beta in the US on 31 July. Pricing for the game rentals has been revealed, with “shorter rental periods priced as low as US$2.99, and most titles will be between US$2.99 and US$19.99.” [More…]

Sales & Deals

The US PlayStation Store update is live. Pre-orders of some of the new E3 announced titles (Uncharted 4, Bloodborne and more) are available. There’s also the E3 sale still on which features Assassin’s Creed IV, Battlefield 4 and plenty more. Full details can be found here.


Ubisoft is apparently sitting on a completed game for the Wii U that they will not release until the console has sold more. The game has been finished for six months already. [More…]

Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin has joined Oculus VR as the head of worldwide studios for Oculus. He will be in charge of first-party content initiatives in Seattle, San Francisco, Menlo Park, Dallas and Irvine.

The pre-order incentives for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare have been revealed. For now, the Advanced Arsenal bonus pack is only listed for Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop in the US, and at Amazon, Argos, Asda, GAME and Tesco in the UK. It includes the Bullet-Brass exoskeleton and the Bullet-Brass EM1 Quantum.
