Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a real thing and is in development at 2K Australia with supervisionfrom Gearbox. The game – set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2 – is set on the moon off Pandora, and focuses on the rise of Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2. The game will hit PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this autumn (northern hemisphere). As to why it’s not on the newer consoles, Randy Pitchford suggests there are “fewer Xbox Ones and PlayStation 4s than we sold copies of Borderlands 2.”
A Killer Instinct update weighing in at a mammoth 6.8GB has been released. The update introduces Fulgore as a playable character, as well as an Arcade mode, eight player online lobbies and spectator functionality.
Sony has announced H1Z1 – a zombie-survival MMO. In it, you are “an apocalypse survivor who is in a world that is filled with zombies. A world! Not just a little tiny server.” The game will be heading to the PS4 and PC, with the latter being available in 4-6 weeks via Steam Early Access for $20. The game will be free-to-play.
