Games

The console beta for The Crew has started and it has been confirmed that progress won’t be carried over to the full game. You can also expect that there “are lots of functions that probably won’t be turned on” for the beta. [More…]

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel  has gone gold and should definitely be out and available on 14 October in North America and 17 October worldwide. [via Twitter]

The Achievement list for Assassin’s Creed Rogue has been revealed, and features 46 Achievements for a total of 1000GS.

There’s a massive update for Battlefield 4 available for all platforms and improves netcode, customisable HUD elements, sight and movement improvements, weapon and attachment changes, plus additional game modes. Full details can be found here.

Battlefield Hardline will feature seven modes on launch and nine maps. Modes confirmed so far include Hotwire, Rescue, Blood Money, Heist, Conquest and Team Deathmatch, but no Rush. [More…]

The delayed Crown of the Ivory King DLC for Dark Souls 2 is now out on PC and Xbox 360, with PS3 later today.

The Bloodborne alpha starts tomorrow but only for a very limited time. Only invited players will get a taste of the game.

Sales & Discounts

Sniper Elite 3, the Assassin’s Creed IV season pass and a Battlefield 4 shortcut kit are discounted on Xbox One this week for Deals with Gold. On the Xbox 360, Ubisoft has Asssassin’s Creed, Far Cry and more discounted, while Skate (the entire series and some add-ons) are discounted too. Details are available here.

The plot and cast fr the Dead Rising movie have been revealed. It will be set in a new city and between the events of Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 3 and will be “like ‘Indiana Jones with Zombies’.
