Call of Duty Ghosts requires an install of 3GB for the singleplayer campaign on Xbox 360. Multiplayer will not require an install other than if you get the Free Fall pre-order map which weighs in at 250MB. [More on One of Swords Blog]

It has also been revealed that the online multiplayer of Call of Duty Ghosts will only support 12 players on Xbox 3600 (and presumably PS3), while the Xbox One, PS4 and PC will support the more familiar 18 players. Eurogamer also reports that on Xbox 360, the game supports 1-4 offline players and 1-2 offline co-op players. We assume this is not the same number for system link.

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has been pondering the future of Gears of War. “I want to find a great Gears game,” he said to IGN. “We did a good job with Judgment, but I don’t think it hit the level of quality we saw in the previous games.” He also admits it didn’t match the sales of previous games in the series and that the series “did kind of run its course on 360”. The way forward? “Maybe take it more gritty” and re-imagined for the next-generation. [via Eurogamer]

The Sony FAQ which did the rounds yesterday about their PS4 revealed a few missing features on the console’s launch. Some of the features (MP3 and DLNA support) could – according to Couch Jockeyz – be implemented in the near future.

The second piece of DLC – ‘Arkbreaker’ – has been announced for Defiance, and is due this December. No other details of the DLC have been revealed, but a Halloween patch has been released and sees “the Plague Sieges and Plague Emergencies return.”

Sony has revealed that their second quarter hardware sales have declined, but their software sales have jumped. At the same time, the firm saw an $8 million loss which was brought on by the strategic price-cut for PS Vita, as well as development costs on PS4.

The next batch of free game from the Games With Gold program have been announced. A World Of Keflings will be available from Friday 1 November until 15 November, at which point Iron Brigade will become available for the rest of the month.
