**UPDATE**

16 March 2020: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions placed as a result by the South African government, UCON 2020 has been postponed indefinitely. We apologise for any inconvenience.

**END OF UPDATE**

UCON returns in 2020 for its sixth annual event on 21 and 22 March. As always, we will be there, along with our sister organisations ACGL and TGN Racing Simulators. The usual mix of freeplay, mini-competitions and tournaments can be expected, with products and cash up for grabs.

Entry to the gaming, anime, cosplay and all-round geek event is R80 for a day pass and R100 for a weekend pass. Access to the game does not cost anything more. The Saturday will focus on the competitive stuff, while Sunday will be more casual, ‘friendly’ battles. There will be a few activities that run all weekend too. For more on what is happening outside of the gaming, head to the UCON 2020 event page.

REDRAGON KEYBOARD REBUILD RACE

The original keyboard rebuild race returns thanks to Redragon. The competition is simple. Rebuild a Redragon keyboard (well, replace the keys) in the fastest time over the weekend and you will walk away with a Redragon keyboard. If you happen to try and not win, we have one keyboard up for grabs for a random draw winner. And you can rebuild in leisure from the comfort of a Redragon King of War gaming chair. No registration is needed, just show up on one of the days and have a go.

FASTEST LAP

We will be hosting a fastest lap event all weekend. Have a go at F1 2019 on the racing seats with racing wheels, and set a blistering lap to walk away with a headset. There will be random draw giveaways too for anyone that tried and didn’t prove to be The Stig or his local cousin. Walk in, and give it a go on either of the two days.

Fighting game tournaments will be hosted during each day. Up for grabs will be products and merchandise. Keep an ear out for announcements at the event. There will be a few more announcements in the coming days, and there will also be the usual freeplay stations on offer throughout the weekend.
