It has been confirmed that the Xbox 360 version is being handled by Sumo Digital and will run on the original Horizon engine model. Meanwhile, Playground Games is working on the Xbox One version and will use the Forza Motorsport 5 engine.
After rumours of Forza Deep South, Forza Horizon 2 has been officially announced and will be heading to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One “this fall”.
The game will be set in Southern Europe by Forza Horizon studio Playground Games, in collaboration with the Motorsport team at Turn 10 Studios.
The Xbox One version of the game will “include hundreds of cars, according to Playground Games, headlined by the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán. A long-awaited weather system will also make its Forza debut, while Forza 5’s Drivatar system is also being adapted for Horizon 2.”
