The beginning of 2010 is turning into one expensive period if you’re a gamer. It was announced at GC that the long awaited Final Fantasy XIII will get simultaneously released on the 360 and PS3. Unfortunately, other than “the first half of 2010”, no exact month, let alone date has been given.
Producer, Yoshinori Kitase:
“We don’t have the actual month down yet, but in Japan it’s scheduled for a winter release, and in Europe and North American territories it’s spring 2010
“For Europe and North America, the PS3 and 360 versions are going to be released simultaneously. For previous titles it took usually about a year to localise each version and bring it over to Europe, but for this title there should be a considerably shorter gap and [we’ll] bring it to European territories as close to the North American release as possible.”
I hope you’ve been really good this year, ‘cos then maybe Santa will leave a safe worth of cash for you to go crazy next year.
