If you know where to look (here in most cases), you will realise that there are plenty of reasons to get out and socialise while still just enjoying your favourite pastime – gaming. There are plenty of folks working tirelessly to ensure that you can play your preferred game in an environment that really offers an incredible vibe and a unique competitive atmosphere that can only be achieved when you have to look your opponent in the eye.
One such event has achieved a milestone in having been around for one year and they plan to celebrate this in style. FIFACHAMPS has been a monthly event which runs at Rafiki’s in Cape Town, but to have a party they’re moving to a venue in Canal Walk, Century City for the 9th of March birthday bash.
If you fancy yourself at being able to kick the virtual football around, you can enter one of two competitions happening on the day. Kicking off at 11am is the main tournament which will feature a first prize of R1000, plus free and seeded entry into the next 2upGamers FIFA event. From 2pm, a social cup will start more for “casual gamers” and that will offer a prize of R150. Please note, the number of entrants will be restricted to 128.
The entry fee for the main tournament is R50, while the social cup will cost you R15 to enter.
