FIFA Ex-Development Director Hired to Improve Games’ Production at Brink Studio

The immensely accomplished Griff Jenkins, the previously EA Senior Development Director, has been appointed as Director of Production at Splash Damage, most recently known for Brink.

Jenkins was the Senior Development Director for one of gaming most successful franchises, FIFA and led several extremely popular franchises including Need for Speed. Jenkins was key reportedly a key element in establishing the FIFA as the force it is in the gaming world.

Paul Wedgwood, CEO of Splash Damage comments in the press release:

“Following FIFA’s incredible success, Griff’s new role at Splash Damage will be to improve our games by improving the way we make them.

“Under Griff’s leadership we’ll elevate production to a discipline on par with art, design, and programming.  These are areas that we’ve always constantly strived to improve, and production should be no different.”

Jenkins says he is “really excited” to become Director of Production at Splash Damage particularly because of the studio’s “incredible vision” for multiplayer gaming.

“I’m delighted to become an integral part of that future, and can’t wait to announce our plans,” concludes Jenkins.

Splash Damage also acquired a number of industry veterans in 2011, including Neil Alphonso from Guerrilla Games (Killzone) and Richard Ham who was the lead designer for Fable II.
