The EFL proper kicks off this coming weekend following its successful beta last month.

Taking place at the Geek Pride Day event in Bellville, Cape Town this Saturday 25 May from 10am, the EFL pits 20 players in half an English Premier League season with their randomly assigned team.  At the time of the draw some big name clubs were still to be assigned their Player Managers, but those have since been filled in the run up to Saturday.

With a R100 buy in for a full day’s FIFA 13 action, and with no player being eliminated, it’s sure to be some of the best football action this side of the Champion’s League final…

Up for grabs for players on the day are cash prizes to the value of R1500, a number of medals and trophies for a variety of categories (including Manager of the Season, Golden Boot and Golden Glove), tattoo vouchers valued at R1450 from Hoodoo Tattoo, as well as two NAG Magazine one year subscriptions.

Pro Soccer – suppliers of English Premier League football jerseys – have also put up R1000 in vouchers to spend at their store in Somerset West or online.  They are also offering a 10% discount code all day to anyone who uses the code on Saturday only.

The prizes up for grabs total an estimated R5000 in value.
