2013 looks like it is gearing up to be a great here for games and gaming as a whole. Especially with rumours of more (yes, the Wii U counts) next gen consoles arriving in time for the holidays later this year. But I for one, still have my feet firmly stuck in the current generation of games and here are some of my most anticipated games for 2013. SPOILER: No sports games here!

5. DmC: Devil May Cry

Yes, I know the game is already out but see, I don’t own it as of yet. This game has released with mainly good reviews and what else would you expect from the studio that brought us Enslaved? I for one can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

4. Pokemon X and Y

I don’t care what you think. Pokemon is the best RPG for any handheld console out there. Yes sure, the gameplay hasn’t really changed much in the last… forever but who cares. This is the first 3D Pokemon game so it will give me a great reason to dust of my 3DS.

3. Injustice: Gods Among Us

Injustice Gods Amongst Us

NetherRealm Studios can’t do any wrong in my eyes (except for that last DC game, and that other Mortal Kombat no one played) but from what I have seen of Injustice this looks like a solid and fun fighter. Especially since DC has never really got much love in the fighter genre like Marvel has. Finally, my lifelong dream of beating up Superman over and over again will be realized. Now all they need to announce is The Elongated Man as a playable character!

2. South Park: The Stick of Truth

South Park_01

Except for a few, I have seen all the South Park episodes ever. I love this show. So when I first learned that Obsidian is making a RPG game based on the series I couldn’t hold my excitement in. I mean these dudes know how to make a good RPG. Needless to say I have high hopes for this one.

1. Grand Theft Auto V

GTA V Gameinformer Screen_13

GTA isn’t a game. It is a lifestyle. Sure some people out there are moaning endlessly about the high price that has been attached to this game but I for one would gladly pay for this one. GTA has always been able to provide endless hours of gaming entertainment and from the looks of it, GTA V won’t be any different. Now where can I go sell my kidney…
