E3: Sony kicks off its keynote…

…with Killzone 3 dated and a promise of plenty of 3D games.

By promisng 20 native 3D titles by March 2011, Sony CEO Kaz Hirai reinforced the importance of 3D to the Playstation strategy at today’s E3 conference, enthusing that “what Playstation did for Blu-Ray, we’re ready to it for 3D”.

Guerrilla Games head, Hermen Hulst then showed off Killzone 3 in 3D and announced a tentative release date for the PS3 of February 2011, as well as confiirming it as Move compatible at launch.

Other games confirmed for the ‘ability to look like Roy Orbison while playing’ are Gran Turismo 5, MLB 2K11, EyePet, the new Motorstorm, Ghost Recon, Tron, NBA 2K11, Mortal Kombat and a newly HDed Sly Cooper Collection.
