Yes, Activision has applied to trademark Drum Hero. This is probably no great surprise. The big surprise is how long it took for them to apply for it. The trademark has only been filed in late October, despite various rumours and constant belief that Drum Hero is a sure thing.
This doesn’t necessarily guarantee that a game called Drum Hero is in the works but it does show that Activision is giving the thought serious consideration.
Although, why another Hero game is needed, is beyond me. Surely now, we’ve reached the point where downloadable add-ons are the way to go? I have Rock Band. I have the gear. I just need the tracks. Anyone else getting a little cynical about what smells like cashing in?
