And we start off with another short week. YAY FOR HOLIDAYS. Time to go boom!
If you don’t think that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most talented people alive, my friend, you don’t know much about talent. Mr Johnson has gone from putting the super in WWE superstar to being an actor worthy of praise. He has done it all. Family movies, comedy and my personal favourite, action movies. Not only is he talented, but he is busy as well. This year alone he has four movies out there and all while being the WWE champion. He probably eats a lot of Bar-One’s. Cinema Blend did an interesting interview with the man, in which he talks about how he would love to be in Star Wars, as well as talking about his upcoming movies. So go over and give it a read. If you weren’t a fan, you will be now.
You know who Alan Ritchson is? He is that overly loud jock from Blue Mountain State. Still don’t know? He also played Aquaman in Smallville. Now that you know who is, he has been signed to star as Raphael in the upcoming Turtles movie. The movie will make use of motion capture so how recognizable he will be is anyone’s guess.
If you love your Jazz and live in Cape Town, then you will be excited to know that the International Jazz Festival is just two weeks away. The festival will be happening at the CTICC 4th and 5th of April. Sadly though, it seems all the tickets have been sold out. However there will be a Free concert happening in Green Market square on the 3rd of April from 17:00 to 23:00. So if Jazz is your thing, get there early.
This past weekend My Chemical Romance has announced that they have split up and called it quits. Which is sad news since I have never been able to see them live myself. They really are a truly remarkable band. Here is hoping they come back in five years like most bands that split up do. I leave you with what is probably my favourite MCR song of all time. Enjoy.
Best boom ever right?
