Daily Boom – 05 March 2013

In today’s boom we have a trailer for you. But first some news.

DSTV has launched its BoxOffice service for online use. The service has been available to subscribers for almost a year now, but it is finally available to non-subscribing internet users. Basically, you rent a movie from their site and you have 48 hours to watch it either via streaming or downloading. I am rather excited about this and hope it works as well as I think it might. Now I just hope my 1mb ADSL line is fast enough.

More local news.  5fm DJ Gareth Cliff has lend his voice talent to a cameo character in the popular Disney XD kids show, Phineas and Ferb. Love him or hate him, I always think it is great for any South African to be recognised on an international stage like this, so more power to him. For fans of the series, the show will air on Saturday March 16, 09:45 am on Disney XD.

TRAILER TIME: Today we have a trailer for the upcoming movie The Reluctant Fundamentalist.

It starts out like an action movie and then goes into a weird rom-com vibe. But later you see that this movie is about differences between our cultures, as well as our own identity. It all seems very interesting but it is also a sensitive subject, so hopefully it is handled with care. The movie is set for release in early 2013 which is… any day now. So keep an eye out for it.

About Zombie of Doom

Between trying to be a comedian and contributing to the cause of the Zombies, Zombie of Doom is also known as Dante of Doom or Richard to his parents. They are probably a little concerned about him.
