The Southern Barbarians’ Counter-Strike division starts their battle for a spot at The World Championships in Belgrade on Wednesday 3 August.

The team will first need to get past the two teams in their African Qualifier group, then the top two teams from the second group, and place first to secure a spot at the $100,000 LAN final to be held in October.

The Southern Barbarians (from South Africa) this year find themselves in Group B with Egypt and Libya, while Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria are together in Group A.

There’s no indication of where the live stream will be broadcast, but I suspect future announcements will be made on the Southern Barbarians’ Facebook page and via the SA Counter-Strike group.
