EA and Crytek officially unveiled Crysis 3 recently and are now dropping information about the upcoming sci-fi shooter.
The first screenshots released showed lush jungles among the buildings of New York, so we gathered that it would be a combination of Crysis 1′s jungle mixed with the urban jungle featured in Crysis 2 which took place in New York City.
Interestingly, according to AttackoftheFanboy, Crytek’s Cevat Yerli recently commented on Twitter explaining that the gameplay would lean more to Crysis 1 over Crysis 2.
“Crysis 3 will be more a spiritual successor in gameplay to Crysis 1 instead of Crysis 2.”
As the source point out, the original Crysis was more sandbox in style. Whether there is more to it than that remains to be revealed. There will also be a full trailer reveal tomorrow. For now check out the teaser trailer.
Crysis 3 will be released in 2013.
