Gears of War 2 XP…What’s next?!

So, we’re all currently milking the 25x XP that Epic bestowed upon us in celebration of the ‘Labor’ Day weekend.  Some have achieved the lofty heights of Level 100, while some continue to flounder and are possibly wondering if they’ll ever get there – this weekend or any other.

So, I got to thinking,

Kinect/Move won't increase 360/PS3 lifecycle says Ubisoft executive

We have seen a lot of hype around the theory that Move and Kinect will help increase the current-gen consoles lifespan. It seems almost logical that it would help to do so. But is this really the case? If the technology ends up only appealing to casual gamers, would the rest of the gaming market

This parliament is excited about Citzalia

As one does, while visiting the Wall Street Journal, trying to look like the well rounded adult I am supposed to be – I stumble upon the most bizarre bit of gaming news I have reported on.

Acting on behalf of  the European Parliament’s Directorate-General for Communication, the European Service Network is developing

Female lead characters make for higher review scores

This actually should not surprise me, but it did. A study conducted by the firm – Electronic Entertainment Design and Research - reported, as spotted by Escapist, that videogames with heroines, or female lead characters are on the rise, and they generally achieve higher average review scores.

I Bet I Can Get You Guys To Buy Mafia II

…and I do mean ‘guys.’

I downloaded the demo on release yesterday. Being a bit like a little boy at Christmas, I could not wait to try it. So thinking that I’ll just give it a quick go and switch it off before any violence, as not to upset my baby girl’s innocent mind. The game

Activision Joins The War Against Secondhand Games

First EA Sports, then THQ, Ubisoft and now Activision. The publishing giants are clearly not happy with a copy of one of their titles getting sold without them cashing in.

The publishers have given new copies online-codes to access online content, and second hand game buyers need to purchase a code to have the same access. The move is
