Capcom has admitted that Resident Evil 6 has been successful “to some degree.”

Since its launch, Resident Evil 6 has been strongly divided among opinions. The Metascore ended on 67 on Xbox 360 and 75 on PlayStation 3.

In a Q&A published on its investor site, as cited by Eurogamer, Capcom acknowledged that user reviews outside Japan have not been very positive about Resident Evil 6.

“Resident Evil 6 continues to generate repeat sales in Japan and overseas,” the publisher explained.

“Furthermore, initial shipments set a new record for a Capcom title.

“So this game has been successful to some degree.”

Capcom says it believes it is too early to reach a conclusion about how users view the game, but will listen “carefully” to players’ feedback and use the information when developing future titles.
