Bravado Gaming have secured first spot and the lion’s share of the prize pool in the Mega8 Esports CS:GO Autumn Cup, while the date for the Dota 2 Winter Cup was announced during the live stream.

There were very few surprises between the top eight in the tournament, unless Damage Control defeating Aperture Gaming in round one counts. (This is however not the match originally listed with the bracket appearing to change before the action kicked off this past weekend).

The Loser’s Bracket final saw Damage Control – who had lost pretty convincingly to Bravado in the winner’s bracket final – up against Energy eSports in a match that went 2-0 to Energy eSports going 16-10 on Nuke and 16-11 on Overpass.

Bravado Gaming went undefeated through the winner’s bracket where they came up against Energy eSports in the grand final. Energy eSports had lost to the team in blue in the second round of the winner’s bracket, and had it all to prove. However, following Energy eSports’ win in the recent grudge match, it would’ve been fair to spread your bets for the Mega8 grand final.

But it was Bravado Gaming that came out fighting and retained their momentum to secure the grand final and R25,000 first prize with a 3-0 win in the best of five final.

Final placing and top four:

  1. Bravado Gaming – R25,000
  2. Energy eSports – R12,500
  3. Damage Control – R7,500
  4. Flipsid3 Tactics – R5,000

The Mega8 Esports Dota 2 Winter Cup was announced for the 26th of May 2017. Additional details will be revealed in the future.
