Bioshock Infinite Looses Two Key Executives

Gamasutra reports [as cited by GIBiz] that Irrational Games, who are currently working on BioShock Infinite, has lost two key executives in the middle of Bioshock Infinite’s development.

Director of product development Tim Gerritsen and technical art director Nate Wells have reportedly left the studio, and both have updated their LinkedIn pages as having left Irrational Games.

Irrational Games president Ken Levine promptly took to Twitter to announce that the BioShock art director, Scott Sinclair has taken Nate Wells’ place as art director for Infinite.

“Scott Sinclair, art director of [Bioshock], back in the art director’s chair for Infinite to bring it home.

“Can’t wait to show you what’s cooking,” he said not mentioning the departed executives.

BioShock Infinite has been previously delayed, was missed at E3 2012 and will again be missed at Gamescom.

Levine explained earlier that the studio did not want to take time away from developing the game, and that the major events would take away production time. He assured fans that the next time we see the game, it will essentially be the finished product.
