Assassin’s Creed creator returns to Ubisoft and brings two THQ projects

The acclaimed creator of the Assassin’s Creed series, Patrice Desilets has now returned to Ubisoft after leaving in 2011 to join THQ Montreal.

Ubisoft officials confirmed to Polygon that Desilets has returned following the collapse of THQ.

“We are very pleased to welcome Patrice to Ubisoft again and anticipate that this renewed partnership will produce new ideas and high-quality titles for Ubisoft’s customers,” a Ubisoft spokesperson said.

Ubisoft will be looking at how to offer an organizational structure that provides continuity for the creative teams involved.

Two THQ Montreal projects, namely 1666 and Underdog, form part of the acquisition which Ubisoft will now continue with.
