Well, one rumour actually, but it does come by way of Forbes, so who are we to judge?  According to a profile piece on new AMD CEO Rory Read it is claimed that AMD is in “hush-hush” talks with Sony “to put its graphics chips in Sony’s still-unannounced new game console”.

A move which would mean Sony turning its back on current provider Nvidia.

We do know that Sony has no plans to announce a PS4 “anytime soon” so in the end this may well just be speculation.

“It’s Read’s job to make sure AMD doesn’t screw up its slate of new products-which includes a hush-hush effort to put its graphics chips in Sony’s still-unannounced new game console-and shake off the once scrappy company’s years-long funk.”
