[Alpha Protocol] Delayed and Still Troubled

alpha protocol

Obsidian’s Alpha Protocol was supposedly to be release in October 2009, and then pushed to March/April 2010 to “polish” up the game more as we learnt. It has now been announced that it will only see the light of day in the US Summer (late June) 2010 release.

According to Sega’s assistant producer Matthew Hickman, the title has seen a number of improvements over last number of months he says, an improved inventory system and better lighting effects among them. Now the bad news is that in a MTV preview we are warned that the game is still suffering from raw visuals and AI problems. This is obviously the cause of the latest delay. I just hope they sort this out as this promised to have the action that I look for in an RPG.
