2015 MWEB GameZone Masters Series Announced

MGMS Announce_02

MWEB GameZone has announced the 2015 edition of the MWEB GameZone Masters Series (or #MGMS), which this year will feature both Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on Xbox One and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on PC. The series will feature online tournament qualifiers which culminate in a grand final for both titles in Cape Town later this year.

A grand total of R84,000 cash is up for grabs across the two titles, with the prize pool being split over two online qualifiers per title and the LAN final.

After the online qualifiers, four teams from each title will battle for the lion’s share of prizes in a LAN extravaganza (at least we assume it will be an extravaganza based on previous events).

Registrations (and the various qualifiers) will be staggered over the coming months (details can be found here), with registrations for the first Call of Duty qualifier NOW OPEN.

Prize breakdown per title per online qualifier:

1st Place – R5,000
2nd Place – R3,000
3rd Place – R2,000

Prize breakdown per title for LAN final:

1st Place – R10,000
2nd Place – R6,000
3rd Place – R4,000
4th Place – R2,000

And we bet everyone thought nothing was happening anymore…

You can find out more about the tournaments by keeping tabs on us, MWEB GameZone and the tournament site.
